How to install

From test coordinates to receiver measurements.

Map and address search

Choose a test point on the map or find an address.

GPX movement

Import a route, adjust speed and simulate movement. Pause, resume or stop from the notification.

Saved places and routes

Keep favorites, routes and recent selections for repeatable tests.

Satellites in 3D and 2D

Inspect the hardware receiver in interactive 3D, 2D and list views.

GNSS sessions

ANDROID 8.0+

Install and start in six steps.

Android 8.0 or newer. Simulation requires Developer options and selecting Fake GPS Tools as the mock location app.

  1. Download the APK using the button on this page.
  2. Open the APK. If Android blocks installation, allow installation from this source if you trust it. You can revoke that permission afterwards.
  3. Open Fake GPS Tools and follow the permission and setup prompts.
  4. In Android Developer options, select Fake GPS Tools as the mock location app. The setting location varies by device.
  5. Choose a point or import a GPX route, then tap Start.
  6. Use the notification to pause or resume a route, or stop simulation.

Updating an existing installation

Install a newer compatible release over the existing app to keep local data. Do not uninstall or clear storage to update. Older Fake GPS Location packages are separate apps; their data is not automatically migrated.

What the measurements mean

Android marks simulated coordinates as mock. Simulation does not generate hardware satellites or guarantee a GPS fix in other apps.

GNSS diagnostics show receiver measurements. Jamming and spoofing indicators are experimental, not a verified attack probability; no warning does not prove signal authenticity. The app is for development and testing, not navigation or safety decisions.

Background behavior varies by device. Long unattended operation and deep sleep have not been comprehensively validated across devices.
